Objective 1:

  •  To help the company connect more to their past event attendees/vendors after the event:

Activities/Research:

  • Develop new surveys to send and distribute to past attendees and vendors to get feedback on the specific event they attended and if there is anything the company can improve on for the future.
  • Enhance already made surveys (adding/deleting questions) to distribute to past attendees and vendors to address more about the event and their experience.
  • Call attendees and vendors to personally ask them about their experiences at the event.

Evidence:

  • Include copies/links to the surveys I created and edited in my portfolio.

When you click on the Evidence 1 link to the left of this you will find screenshots are of surveys I either edited to redistribute at different events or ones I made brand new for the events.  When making and editing the surveys I directly connected it to a major requirement class I took at University of Rhode Island--COM 381 "Research Methods in Communication".  From that class, I knew what type of questions to ask to get the types of feedback I wanted to receive.  On the surveys there are a variety of questions such as the Likert Scale, open ended, and multiple choice.  After completing the survey and making it available for the attendees and vendors to complete, I them collected and analyzed the results. Those are also included in my evidence.

When making these surveys for the events it made me realize just how important it is to connect with the attendees and vendors of it.  Not only for the current event but if you end the event on a positive note, such as asking the individuals how they felt about it and their honest feedback, then you are more likely to secure their attendence for future events.  As I made or edited the questions I had to be extra careful to make sure that the questions made sense and were in the correct format to answer.  I completed all of the surveys thanks to surveymonkey.com.
